The Science department is essential in ship mission. Sciences are responsible for pouring over scan data, conducting experiments & discovering new info , life forms, forgotten history, etc.
The marakesh's specialized systems are established to conduct extensive ongoing study in a particular field. In our case, the holography lab is designed to refine holotechnology. with the recent question of possible photonic sentience, Holography is a 'hot topic' in federation space.
The propulsion theory lab has been established to study potential for new starship propulsion. Some possible lines of study are quantum slipstream, artificial wormholes & transwarp Drives.
