Background:  Robert was raised along with his four
brothers by their father.  He is the youngest of five
and his mother died when he was eleven months old.
His mother was a Starfleet officer and his father is a
diplomat.  Due to his father traveling all the time he
moved alot as a child and wound up in the wrong place
at the wrong time.  He happened to be right in the
demilitarized zone as the Maquis crusade began in
2370. Like the other Federation citizens he did not
want to relinquish his home to a bunch of Cardassians.
 He made the decision then to become a Starfleet
officer and come back and protect his friends in the
Maquis.  Six months later he left for Earth as a
Starfleet Cadet.  By the time he graduated in 2375 the
Maquis were completely obliterated.  It had been two
years since the Dominion and Cardassians joined forces
to eliminate the maquis.  After his graduation he was
battle hungry to kill some Cardassians but the war
ended before he completed his post academy leave.  His
first assignment was on the USS Lakota where he served
as a security officer for six months until she was
destroyed.  He was then posted to the second ship to
bear the name Yamato where he served with valor and
excellence.  He even put his own life at risk to
rescue the woman of his dreams. He did not get a date
with her even after saving her life but they are good
friends now.  That valiant act allowed him to be
promoted to Lieutenant junior grade and he was
reassigned at his request.  He was placed on the newly
commissioned USS Marakesh as Assistant Security Chief
to Lt. Lovar.  Unlike his commanding officer he is not
on the fast track to command and other than the
incident on Norpa Prime where he saved that woman' s
life his career has been pretty ordinary.
